3K For All At

3 Years

Ivy Prep Early Learning Academy offers the 3K for All program, providing FREE, full day education for children ages 3 to 4 in New York City. Families can apply during the calendar year their child turns three. Our program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:50 p.m., five days a week, with options for earlier and extended hours available at an additional fee. This initiative helps children develop essential learning strategies for Pre-K.

The Creative Curriculum

Utilizing The Creative Curriculum, ranked #1 for preschool education, Ivy Prep empowers children to become confident, unique, and caring learners. Our approach involves play-based, hands-on investigations that integrate language, literacy, mathematics, and social interactions throughout the day. This research-driven curriculum ensures a fun and engaging learning environment.

We utilize The Creative Curriculum’s colorcoded progression to track developmental milestones from ages 3 to 4. A child’s physical health is measured by how he or she

Demonstrates awareness of own body in space

Finally, a three-year old’s cognitive development is tracked according to how a child

We want to make sure that all children are physically developing the way they are expected. So, to determine that your child is developing physically like those around him/her, we measure if:

Expresses beginning understanding of cause and effect
Shows understanding of same and different
Generalizes ideas based on past experiences
Applies new information or vocabulary to an activity
Tries several methods to solve a problem before asking for assistance
Draws or scribbles and explains what the drawing is
Names some numerals
Differentiates some letters from numerals
Increasing understanding of duration of time
Compares the size of various everyday objects
Estimates size
Creates or copies all simple shapes
Sorts objects by one or more characteristic
Identifies categories of objects
Place objects in a specific order
Uses all five senses
Asks questions and finds answer through active exploration
Identifies things as living or nonliving based on characteristics
